Acturial professionals use and apply the techniques and theories of actuarial science to research and develop revised rates, pricing factors, and premium changes that contribute to our company goals. Actuaries have an exceptional understanding of the fields of actuary science, math, or statistics. Their excellent technical and communication skills facilitate their ability to find solutions to complex issues while working on a variety of projects with different business units of the company.

Aviation professionals are employed by Joe Morten & Son, Inc. and pilot company aircraft, providing safe and effective air transportation to claims adjusters, underwriters, safety representatives, and other staff. This includes determining and filing flight plans, conducting pre- and post-flight inspections, securing food, beverages, and other supplies for trips, maintaining a clean passenger compartment, apprising the maintenance staff of service problems or needs, and attending recurrent simulator training annually. Our current aircraft types are Citation Jet I and Citation Jet III. 

Business Analytics is made up of predictive modeling and business intelligence professionals who are experts in statistics, mathematics, informational technology, and big data. They are inquisitive and implement both the art and science of analysis. These roles support company objectives by spotting trends in complex data sets, creating studies, and developing segmentation tools and predictive models. These data professionals work on a variety of projects including pricing, marketing, retention, fraud, and claims.

The Call Center team is the first line of contact for all customers, agents, insureds, and claimants contacting Great West. They are quick thinkers with a desire to deliver exceptional customer service. Call Center Operators are responsible for directing incoming switchboard calls, tracking itineraries, and taking messages. We are committed to providing a live operator 24/7/365 so alternate work schedules and work-from-home assignments are available in this department. Operators gain a broad understanding of our company and are often recruited for transfer to other internal departments.

HR works closely with our managers and employees to recruit, develop, train, and engage our growing workforce.
